Betty Fernandez: I started this blog because I'm convinced that daily practice is the only way to improve ones skills. Sometimes I spend days and even weeks working on a drawing or a composition and the craft of painting gets neglected. I made a comittment to do a painting a day from March 2011 till March 2012. I ended up with 259 paintings. I missed a few days. It was a worthwhile experience. My painting skills improved and so did my confidence. I will take the next few months to work on larger paintings, many of them inspired or based on my daily work. I'll post small sketches and any workshops I might take. I'll post as often as I can. Thank you for visiting my blog. I welcome your comments, there's a lot to be learned.
