It's actually a shot glass, not a vase.  She collects them.  Her stuff never ceases to surprise me and amuse me.

More Sunflowers

I love sunflowers, they are plentiful this time of year and I can't get enough of them!
I didn't have time to get very far with this painting. It's a shame, by the time I can get back to it, the sunflowers won't look so fresh.That's the price one pays for working from life and insisting on fresh flowers.  The silk ones just don't interest me enough to want to paint them.
